Resistor is a band of friends first, workshopping every piece together long before anyone records a note, then tracking it instrument by instrument, with Steve Unruh in the room for every drum session so he and Barry Farrands could trade ideas as the takes went down. Don Schiff’s NS\/Stick threads through both Nostalgia and Beyond and transforms them; his artistic stamp is all over this record.
