Hasse Froberg & Musical Companion – Powerplay (Remastered CD)

HFMC is re-releasing their sophomore album Powerplay on 20 February 2026. The album was originally released in 2012 and has been out-of-print for many years.
Hasse comments on the re-release:
“HFMC released their debut album Future Past in August 2010. In July of 2011 the band entered the studio again to start recording the follow up album Powerplay, that saw the light of day in April 2012.
This time the band chose to work with Hasse’s colleague from The Flower Kings, Tomas Bodin as co producer. What started as a relaxed and easy going recording all of a sudden became desperate because of a tight deadline. The reason was the fact that HFMC got invited to play at two major festivals at the time, Night Of The Prog in Loreley, Germany and RoSfest in Gettysburg, USA.
The band sped up the process and delivered the master just in time for the deadline. Powerplay helped the band meet fans on both sides of the Atlantic, with shows in both Europe and the US.
The album has been sold out for quite some time, so here it is again by public demand. This time in a remastered version with two bonus tracks. We chose to use two live versions on songs from the actual album itself. The audience favourite Venice CA and the somewhat odd track White Butterfly. The release also includes new artwork."
The new release of Powerplay is the first result of the collaboration with their new label FREIA Music. It will now be available with remastered audio, live versions of two album tracks and updated artwork in a 2 panel digi-sleeve and a 12 page booklet.
