The Bardic Depths

The Bardic Depths are one of the most compelling projects in the contemporary progressive rock scene, celebrated for blending deep historical and literary concepts with rich, cinematic soundscapes. Co-founded by Lanzarote-based multi-instrumentalist and composer Dave Bandana and American historian Brad Birzer, the project has evolved from an ambitious studio collaboration of friends from the Big Big Train Facebook forum into a formidable studio band with four core members.

With a stellar lineup completed by prog-rock stalwarts Peter Jones on sax and vocals (Camel, Tiger Moth Tales), Gareth Cole on guitars and occasional bass (The Round Window, Tiger Moth Tales) and Tim Gehrt (Streets) on drums, The Bardic Depths have carved out a unique sonic footprint. Their music moves effortlessly from pastoral English progressive rock driven by lush 12-string guitars to expansive, jazz-fusion-tinged excursions and sweeping orchestrations.

Their music is for fans of Big Big Train, Camel, Genesis and cinematic, narrative-driven progressive rock.
