From their synth-pop debut Telepathic Waves (2023) through the contemplative Hierarchies of Angels (2024) and the saxophone-drenched Imperfect Silence (2025), Enigmatic Sound Machines have never stood still. Divided by One — due June 5, 2026 — marks their boldest leap yet. Jeremie Arrobas and Thomas Szirmay are now a full quartet, with long-time collaborators Hansford Rowe and Alain Bellaïche stepping into permanent roles. Texturally richer and more cinematic than anything in the ESM catalogue, the album brings edgy guitars, sonic variations, voluptuous melodies, and more than a few winks to prog royalty — a vein of darkness challenged at every turn by the will to overcome. A reimagining of Tubeway Army/Gary Numan’s Are Friends Electric Is the album’s first single and video.
