Maciej Meller
From 1991 to 2014, Maciej co-founded the band Quidam, with which he recorded 6 studio and 4 live albums. The band gained a reputation as one of the most important representatives of the progressive rock movement, playing concerts not only in Poland, but also throughout Europe, the United States, Mexico and Brazil. From 1998 to 2005, he collaborated with Colin Bass of the band Camel, with whom he recorded 2 studio and 2 live albums, and played tours promoting these releases.
After Quidam ended, he established the Meller Golyzniak Duda project, which released 2 well-received albums.
Since 2017, he was a touring guitarist for the band Riveride, with whom he recorded solo parts for the album Wasteland in 2018, which achieved gold status in Poland. In February 2020, he officially became a member of Riverside, and their latest album ID.Entity was released on January 20, 2023. A Live album is in the pipeline, a recording of a concert at Warsaw’s Torwar Stadium. It is scheduled for release in the first half of 2025.
In 2020, he released his solo debut Zenith and less than 2 years after that Zenith Acoustic - completely new, fresh takes on 6 compositions from the debut. Both albums received an excellent reception from listeners and the music industry. On January 8, 2023, the first solo concert took place at the Municipal Theater in Inowrocław, which was recorded and then released in the spring of 2024 under the title Live After Zenith. His second solo album Hidden River, Noise Tracks Vol. 1 is due to be released by the end of November 2024.
