Steve Unruh

Steve Unruh is an American multi-instrumentalist, composer, and singer known for his progressive, acoustic, and folk-infused music. 

Unruh’s sound blends '70s progressive rock influences such as like Jethro Tull and Yes with folk and bluegrass traditions. His music often features an acoustic three-piece band feel augmented by soaring violins, mandolin, flute, occasional keyboards, and electric guitar. His vocal style is described as falling somewhere between Jon Anderson and Ian Anderson.

Unruh is a founding member of the band Resistor and a constant member of multi-national progressive group The Samurai of Prog, United Progressive Fraternity, and Unitopia.
