Edison's Children

Edison's Children is sci-fi focused neo-prog rock band known for it's "epic concept' albums and eye-catching artwork. The band combines the songwriting talents and musicianship of:

  • Pete Trewavas (Marillion, Transatlantic, Kino)
  • Eric Blackwood (Special FX Tech)
  • Rick Armstrong (Steve Rothery & Friends, R&D, Lonely Robot, Son of Neil Armstrong)

with:

  • Henry Rogers (Inglorious, Touchstone, DeeExpus, Mostly Autumn) Drums
  • Wendy Darling Blackwood (Photography, Album Artwork, Backing Vox)
  • Lisa Wetton (United Progressive Fraternity, Widow of John Wetton)

Between their formation in 2007 and 2015, they released three albums, two EPs, and one "making of" CD. They even had a song A Million Miles Away (I Wish I Had A Time Machine) from their debut album In The Last Waking Moments sit on the FMQB Top 40 for 10 weeks in 2012.

After a 4-year hiatus due to a series of medical issues that befell Blackwood, the band returned with their 4th album The Disturbance Fields in 2019, as well as a key performance on Florida's Space Coast with the Alan Parsons Project celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.

The band returned to writing and recording in 2023 to begin work on album #5.
