Philhelmon

A veteran musician active in various bands since the late 1960's and with a few solo albums to his name as well, Henk Bol started working in 2006 on a new solo project. Due to the nature of this venture, he opted to use his middle name as the moniker, as the art pop style he wanted to explore on this occasion was markedly different from his previous solo material. It has a slight progressive rock sound, maybe better called progressive pop.

After the debut Enjoy It While It Lasts (2012) received rave reviews, interviews and comments in magazines, internet and radio station attention, sales in the UK, USA, Canada, Japan, Brazil, Europe and the Netherlands, he started recording the follow up Perpetual Immobile (2018) and Into the Mist of Time (2024). All albums involved some excellent singing and playing by a wonderful cast of national and international musicians.
