SYNERGY - Electronic Realizations For Rock Orchestra (CD)

“Electronic Realizations for Rock Orchestra” is Larry Fast’s first Synergy project release. In pre-production during 1974 and recorded during the first few weeks of 1975, upon its release in the spring of 1975 a new approach to electronic music was unleashed. Recorded with Moog and Oberheim synthesizers along with Mellotron textures, the album combined the precision approach to electronic instrument recording found in the masterful recordings of Wendy Carlos and Tomita with Fast’s rock musician sensibilities. His background in both electronic design as well as music and music production are evidenced by the care taken in the over one thousand overdubs required to complete the project.

The album combines Fast’s own compositions including the long-form pieces “Legacy” and “Warriors” as well as an interpretation of Richard Rodgers “Slaughter on Tenth Avenue”. The album charted high on the Billboard charts during its initial release.

Available here on digitally remastered CD derived from the original analog mix tapes.
