Beardfish

Beardfish are a Swedish progressive rock band formed in 2001. The band’s current lineup includes founding members vocalist/keyboardist/guitarist Rikard Sjoblom and guitarist David Zackrisson, in addition to longtime drummer Magnus Östgren and bassist Robert Hansen.

The band has released their debut Från En Plats Du Ej Kan Se in 2003. They were then signed to Inside Out and have released 8 more albums - The Sane Day (2006), Sleeping in Traffic: Part 1 (2007), Sleeping in Traffic: Part 2 (2008), Destined Solitaire (2009), Mammoth (2011), The Void (2012), +4626-COMFORTZONE (2015), and Songs for Beating Hearts (2024).

The band have toured extensively - as support for artists like The Tangent, Flying Colors, Spock’s Beard, and Big Big Train - at international festivals including 2 Days Prog, Prog Day, RoSfest, Progtoberfest, Night of the Prog, We Låve Rock, and Cruise to the Edge.

Their style echoes 70s era progressive rock bands like Genesis, King Crimson, and Yes but with a slightly heavier sound.
