Kornmo is the result of an almost 50-year musical collaboration between Odd-Roar Bakken and Nils Larsen.
Kornmo plays instrumental progressive/symphonic rock with roots in the early 70’s with undertones of folk music and an emphasis on the melodic. Fimbulvinter is Kornmo’s third concept album and the first to be released on Apollon Records.
The album has a darker undertone than the previous releases Svartisen (2017) and Vandring (2019). Like its two predecessors, Fimbulvinter is inspired by nature and science, especially the forces of nature that shaped the country during the ice ages.
