T.A.P

T.A.P took shape as a studio project in 2022, built on ideas Michael Jobborn had been developing in Montreal for years beforehand. Jobborn brought in Mark Cook, then Suzi James, and by the time the self-titled debut Paradigms was recorded, Paul Sears and Bill Bachman had added percussion to a handful of tracks. For this second album, Bachman is a permanent member, with guests invited onto a selection of tracks.

The three principals arrive from very different places. Cook, from Arlington, Texas, is a multi-instrumentalist and producer known for the touch-style Warr guitar, with credits alongside Herd of  Instinct, Djam Karet, Pat Mastelotto, Gavin Harrison and Colin Edwin. James, based in north London, co-founded Fearful Symmetry, whose The Difficult Second was named joint Best Prog
Rock UK Album 2022 by ProgRock.com. Bachman, founder of
drumworkout.com and author of Stick Technique, has toured with Neal Morse and recorded with Trey Gunn and Adam Holzman.
