Saris was founded in the early 80s by Derk Akkerman and was inspired by the contemporary style of 70’s progressive rock that mixed with modern hard rock elements.
Their sixth album features an incredible lineup!
The songs on Project: Off World have been inspired by the world today; the power, the politics, the paranoia, religion and revenge, technology and temptation, corruption and contradiction, our roots and our escape routes. Our need to save ourselves from others and sometime save others from ourselves. It seems the more advanced we become technologically the stronger is our need for a spiritual center. Will we continue to be enlightened or fall back on our base and fundamental instincts? Big Music needs big ideas, Noble music needs noble thoughts. The band have put everything they have into this album and sincerely hope it will accompany you on whatever journey you are on.
Take a seat and enjoy a symphonic excursion through prog-metal, power-ballads, stadium rock and progressive rock.
