This EP invites the listener to gaze through the spyglass, out beyond the warmth by the fireside and flickering candlelight, to where the stars shine and the frost crackles. To the time and place where reflection, peace and hope for a brighter future hang suspended in the stillness.
A man stands in a time of the most unexpected calm, only then realising that peace is transient and that destiny brings a messenger bearing the worst news imaginable. How to accept and smooth the way for loved ones to share that acceptance?
A ship crashes through the waves, chasing ambition and pushing at the limits of the possible. Eventually, returning home and allowing the sailors of the seas of fortune to bask in glory, success and bitter failure.
Finally, as the candle flickers, we reflect on the passage of years. Do we yearn for more? Could we do more? That time is now.
