Keyboardist and composer Ton Scherpenzeel presents his 8th solo album Legions of the Heart, featuring Thomas Schiphof. More than three years in the making, this poignant album weaves a unique lyrical and musical tapestry of unifying contrasts. A knight’s quest for love and fear of war, a balancing act between fantasy and reality, exuberance and restraint, that is the fabric of Legions of the Heart. As with all of Ton’s solo albums, the listener can expect a wide variety of genres: progressive, symphonic, cinematic soundscapes, pop rock and baroque folk.
